Good Boy! K-9 Trooper Fortini Sniffs Out Kilo Of Cocaine In I-684 Stop
A Waterbury man was arrested for felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and felony criminal possession with intent to sell.

NORTH CASTLE, NY — K-9 Trooper Fortini has a nose for the job and helped keep a massive amount of drugs off the streets.
New York State Police say that on Monday, officers arrested 25-year-old John Carlos Javier, of Waterbury, Connecticut, for felony first degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and felony third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
Shortly after 3 p.m., state police stopped the 2014 Toyota Corolla Javier was driving on I-684.

The trooper, with assistance from his K9 partner, Fortini, found that the driver was in possession of about 1 kilogram of cocaine, according to New York State Police.
Javier was arraigned in the Town of North Castle Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending his next appearance on November 14.
