Sweetgreen Is Growing: Chappaqua Diners Can Reap The Bounty Soon
The popular restaurant is opening a second Westchester location Tuesday. Is this new option more likely to see you eat healthier on the go?

CHAPPAQUA, NY — Sweetgreen is likely already on the radar of those who love a good salad, but the soon-to-open restaurant in Westchester aims to make salad lovers of us all.
Sweetgreen will be opening its second Westchester County location this Tuesday at Chappaqua Crossing. Its Scarsdale store opened at Vernon Hills on January 25.
The gourmet salad company sells "fresh, plant-forward, earth friendly food," such as fresh salads, grain bowls and plates that focus on vegetarian or vegan offerings.

"We passionately believe that real food should be convenient and accessible to everyone," Sweetgreen founders have explained. "Every day in each Sweetgreen, our 3,500 team members make food from scratch, using fresh ingredients and produce delivered that morning. And in our local communities, we're committed to leaving people better than we found them. We're in the business of feeding people, and we're out to change what that means."

The 3,280-square-foot location will be able to accommodate 44 diners inside the restaurant and will have seating for 16 outdoors.
The store’s design is inspired by the surrounding colonial architecture, with a warm and welcoming dining area for large groups and families and a new art gallery wall that celebrates Sweetgreen’s farmers and partners. Sweetgreen also partnered with Brooklyn-based design agency Triboro to commission a new poster series, inspired by the seasonality of Sweetgreen’s menu and ingredients.
For each meal sold on opening day, sweetgreen will donate a meal to its local impact partner, Westchester Community Opportunity Program, to nourish the community’s food insecure.
The complete menu, along with pickup and delivery information, can be found here.
Sweetgreen will be located at 480 North Bedford Rd. in Chappaqua and will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
