Weekend Stabbing At Mount Kisco House Claims Life Of Resident: WCPD

MOUNT KISCO, NY — One man is dead and another behind bars following weekend violence at a Mount Kisco home.

Westchester County Police Department detectives have charged a Mount Kisco man with manslaughter 1st degree in connection with the stabbing death of another village resident. Both the suspect and the victim lived in a home on Lexington Avenue.

The stabbing happened inside that home.

The suspect, Oscar Morales, 41, was arrested Sunday following an investigation by patrol officers and detectives from the General Investigations Unit assigned to the Mount Kisco precinct. Morales was arraigned before Justice Mark Farrell of Mount Kisco Justice Court and remanded without bail to the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.

On Saturday, at 11:12 pm, WCPD Communications received a 911 call reporting an assault with a knife had just occurred at the address. Patrol officers found a man who had suffered multiple stab wounds.

Officers rendered first aid until the victim could be rushed to Northern Westchester Hospital Center. The victim was pronounced deceased at 12:18 a.m.

According to witnesses, Morales and the victim had an argument that turned into a physical altercation, and Morales used a knife to stab the victim. Morales was placed under arrest at the scene and was taken to the Mount Kisco Precinct.

The name of the victim is being withheld by police pending confirmation of his identity.
