Chelsea Hit-And-Run Kills Man On 23rd Street: NYPD
The driver of a van careened into the Queens man on W. 23rd street and struck two cars before speeding off, police said.
CHELSEA, NY — A 45-year-old Queens man was mowed down in a Manhattan hit-and-run Saturday, police said.
Bing Wan, 45, was standing on the north curb of W. 23rd Street near Eighth Avenue when the driver of a white Dodge 2500 van made a swift turn onto the street and plowed into Wan. The manic driver sped west on W. 23rd Street and drove against traffic, slamming into two vehicles before he raced away, police said Wednesday.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and found Wan unconscious on the pavement with head trauma. Wan, who lived on 160 Street in Kew Gardens, was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, authorities said.
