Buy Andy Warhol's Old Door From The Chelsea Hotel
The doors of some of the Chelsea Hotel's most famous residents are being auctioned off.

CHELSEA, NY — The doors of some of the Chelsea Hotel's most famous residents — including Andy Warhol, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin — are going to be sold through a live auction in April.
The iconic hotel, located at 222 W. 23rd St., housed some of the city's most famous artists and musicians. Now, you can bring some of that history home with you. Guernsey's will auction 55 original doors from the hotel on April 12, amNew York was first to report.
Guernsey's says that thanks to "extensive research," many of the doors have been traced to their most famous residents. Including in the auction are doors that once belonged to Joni Mitchell, Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan and Bob Marley. You can see all of the doors available through the auction here.

The hotel, which closed to guests in 2011, in the midst of extensive renovations.
Some of the proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the nonprofit City Harvest, Guernsey's said.
