Chelsea Attacker Poses For Victim With Taunting Peace Sign: NYPD

A man who assaulted a cabbie in Chelsea flashed a mocking peace sign at the victim before running off Monday, photos show.

CHELSEA, NY — A nightmare fare posed with a peace sign after bashing a livery cab driver in Chelsea, according to police.

A 25-year-old cabbie received a request to pick up a passenger on Oct. 22 just before 3 a.m. in front of 29 W. 17th Street, but when he arrived the man immediately picked a fight with the driver, police said.

The brute grabbed the cabbie's TLC license and punched the man in the face.

Before he ran off the driver snapped a photo of his attacker, who actually stopped to pose and flashed a mocking peace sign at the victim before fleeing the scene, police said.

The attacker is described as 30-years-old, six-foot-one and roughly 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray knit hat and blue jeans, officials said.
