Gingerbread House Building, Ballet: See Holiday Fun At Chelsea Market

Chelsea Market has several festive offerings this year for families and adults alike. Seeking to entertain a cohort of all ages?
GingerBread Lane, one of the largest gingerbread villages in New York City, on display in the market’s main concourse through Jan. 7, 2024. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., passersby can marvel at 1,000 gingerbread structures including houses, pizzerias, ice-cream parlors, and more as a mesmerizing homage to the Big Apple curated by Guinness World Record holder Jon Lovitch who has, fittingly, designed the largest entirely edible gingerbread village.

For the 21+ crowd, Creamline will be hosting a Boozy Gingerbread House Building event at their Chelsea Market site on Dec. 13 where, from 6 to 8 p.m.., guests will build gingerbread houses while enjoying holiday-themed music and dishes from their classic American fare menu.
Tickets can be purchased in advance on Eventbrite for $55, which includes gingerbread house materials, a choice of a burger or sandwich and a boozy milkshake.

For lovers of the arts, free ballerina performances hosted by Lea Ballerina will take place on Dec. 11, 16, 20, and 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. Live music from cellist Sean Grissom will take place every Wednesday in December from noon to 3 p.m.
Of course, what’s a trip to Chelsea Market without a bit of shopping? For gift-buyers, wrapping stations and crafts will be made available in the market throughout the holiday season.
