Google Employee Found Dead At Chelsea Headquarters, Police Say
The 22-year-old West Village resident was discovered lifeless at his desk Friday night, police said.

CHELSEA, NY — A Google engineer was discovered lifeless inside the tech giant's Chelsea headquarters Friday night, police said.
A janitor discovered Scott Krulcik, 22, unconscious at his desk on the sixth floor of 111 Eighth Avenue near W. 16 Street at 9 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the unresponsive man with no obvious signs of trauma, police said.
First responders pronounced Krulcik dead on the scene, authorities said.

Krulcik was a native of Saratoga Springs, NY and lived in the West Village. He did not have a history of medical conditions or substance abuse, according to police.
The budding software engineer joined Google in May, 2016 while studying at Carnegie Mellon. He interned with the company the following summer and graduated in May, 2017 with a computer science degree, according to his personal website.

Police do not suspect criminality but an investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
The city's Medical Examiner will determine Krulcik's exact cause of death.
