NEW YORK, NY — The holiday season is fully upon us and there is plenty to do in New York City this weekend.
From going to a Philharmonic performance at Lincoln Center to checking out a tree lighting and Santa Claus parade in Upper Manhattan, there are lots of options this weekend in the city.

Saturday
SantaCon: Midtown Manhattan
People have varying opinions on the annual holiday event, but SantaCon NYC 2022 is coming to town this on Saturday.

Starting from Broadway and 40th Street, the Christmas cheer will spread to 64 locations across Manhattan, according to the event's map.

Edible Brooklyn Food + Design Fair: Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Part art fair, part marker, part food festival, more than 40 vendors will take place in the Brooklyn fair that kicks off at noon.
There will be dozens of Brooklyn based brands, and even a chance to ice skate at 99 Scott Studio.

New York Philharmonic: Lincoln Center, Manhattan
Klaus Makela will conduct "Peru negro," which draws on Afro-Peruvian influences as it "builds to a frenzied conclusion."
The two hour and 15 minute show will begin at 8 p.m.

Sunday
Santa Claus Parade and Tree Lighting: Dyckman Street, Manhattan
A holiday parade will take place in Upper Manhattan, along with a tree lighting ceremony and free toy give away.
The parade will kick off at 3:30 p.m. along Sherman Avenue, and the tree lighting ceremony will take place in Quisqueya Plaza at 224-238 Dyckman St. from 5 to 7 p.m.

Fifth Avenue Closing To Vehicle Traffic For The First Time Ever: Midtown Manhattan
Fifth Avenue will close to all vehicle traffic for the first time ever during three Sundays in December as part of a program named — "Fifth Avenue for All."
The world-famous avenue closed down already on Dec. 4, but this Sunday will be your second to last chance to check it out.
Japanese Food & Winter Festival: Bushwick, Brooklyn
The Japanese Food & Winter Festival will run from noon to 8 p.m. at 25 Thames St.
There will be an assortment of traditional Japanese foods, prime sirloin beef steak samples, Asian cocktails, photo booths, and a red and gold theme.
