NY 10th Congressional District Results: Jerrold Nadler Wins

Jerrold Nadler, who was represented Manhattan's West Side for six years, easily beat Republican Naomi Levin for the seat.

WEST SIDE, NY — Incumbent Rep. Jerrold Nadler defended his seat in Tuesday's midterm election for New York's 10th Congressional District.

Nadler, a Democrat, beat Republican Naomi Levin for the House seat representing Manhattan's West Side and parts of southern Brooklyn, according to city Board of Elections data.

Nadler took just over 81 percent of the vote compared to Levin's nearly 19 percent — a notable number for the political newcomer — with more than 96 percent of the district's precincts reporting in, Board of Elections data shows.

Nadler has represented the district in the House since 2013 and was pegged as the likely winner for the race, which the non-partisan Cook Political Report rated as "Solid Democratic."

Before his congressional career, Nadler served on the State Assembly from 1977-93 and served as a member of Community Board 7 in the Upper West Side.
