Jewish Server Attacked With Chair In Chelsea: Council Member
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force has been notified of the incident and is investigating, the council member said in a social media post.

CHELSEA, NY - A Jewish server was attacked with a chair and called a “f—ing racist” outside a Chelsea restaurant last month, New York City Council Member Erik Bottcher said in a X post Sunday.
A kippah-wearing Jewish server at Tokyo Sushi, a kosher restaurant on West 19th Street, was waiting tables outside on Nov. 19 when he was called a “f—ing racist” by a passerby about 5:24 p.m., Bottcher wrote.
The same individual proceeded to pick up a chair and hurl it towards the server, the council member added.
