Subway Hits And Kills Person At 14th Street Station, Police Say

Someone was hit and killed by a subway train at the 14th Street - Sixth Avenue subway station on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

CHELSEA, NY — A person was struck and killed by a subway train at the Sixth Avenue subway station on Tuesday, police said.

The person, who police have not identified, was struck and killed by a train on Tuesday afternoon at about 1:27 p.m., an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch. The person was pronounced dead at the scene at the 14th Street - Sixth Avenue station, the spokeswoman said.

There is no L train service between Manhattan and Brooklyn on Tuesday afternoon while authorities investigate the incident, the MTA said.
