Worker Injured At Chelsea Construction Site, FDNY Says
Someone was injured at a Chelsea construction site on Friday morning.

CHELSEA, NY — A construction worker was seriously injured injured at a Chelsea construction site on Friday morning, fire officials said.
The worker, who authorities have not identified, was rushed to Bellevue hospital at about 11:45 a.m. on Friday with serious injuries after being rescued at 1227 Broadway, an FDNY spokesman told Patch.
FDNY Capt. Dan O'Shea said that the man was working on the underground portion of the site when he fell several feet at about 10:45 a.m. Emergency responders took nearly an hour to extricate the man because he was injured nearly 40 feet below street level, officials said.

Fire officials did not have additional details on the person's injuries. It is unknown whether the individual was a construction worker, but the address is listed as a construction site for a future hotel.
