Suspicious Package Briefly Shuts Down 14th Street Subway Station
The investigation shut down down the subway station at 14th Street and Sixth Avenue for more than 30 minutes, the MTA said.

CHELSEA, NY — A Chelsea subway station was briefly shut down on Wednesday afternoon while police investigated a suspicious package before police determined the package was safe, authorities said.
The NYPD's bomb squad was notified about the packaged at the station at 14th Street and Sixth Avenue on Wednesday at about 3:50 p.m. Investigators determined the package was safe sometime after 4:30 p.m., police said.
No trains stopped at the station while it was being investigated. Service resumed about 4:35 p.m.
