Police Search For Brazen Chelsea Bank Robber
The man ran off with cash from an Eighth Avenue Chase bank, police said.

CHELSEA, NY — Police are hunting for a brazen thief who robbed a Chelsea bank Wednesday in the middle of the day, authorities said.
The man walked into a Chase Bank on Eighth Avenue between W. 15th and 16th streets at about 3:30 p.m. and approached a bank teller with a note demanding cash, police said.
The terrified teller compiled and handed over an undetermined amount of money. The suspect bolted and felt east on Eighth Avenue, police said.

Authorities describe the robber as 30 to 40-years-old, six-feet tall and roughly 195 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark sunglasses, a black baseball cap, a black coat and black gloves.
