Police Search for Slashing Suspect Who Made 'Anti-White' Comments
The NYPD is looking for the public's help in finding a suspect who slashed a man's wrist in Chelsea.
CHELSEA, NY — The NYPD is looking for a man who made "anti-white" comments before slashing the victim with a knife.
According to police, a 40-year-old man was slashed on the wrist with a knife by the suspect at 6 a.m. inside Empire Deli on Ninth Avenue between West 24th and 25th streets. The suspect made what police describe as "anti-white" statements toward the victim before cutting him on the left wrist.
In video shared by police, the two individuals can be seen fighting inside the store, with the suspect shoving the victim against a deli display, slashing him and then fleeing out the front door.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 30 years old, 5-foot-8, 200 to 240 pounds, and last seen wearing a black long-sleeve T-shirt, white shirt and dark pants.
