Shot Fired Near Union Square In $550 Headphone Theft: NYPD
A gunman fired a shot at the 20-year-old victim after he tried to recover his stolen gadget, police said.

UNION SQUARE, NY - A pedestrian sporting $550 headphones saw his pricey gadget swiped from his head near Union Square Friday and was threatened with a gun when he tried to get it back, authorities said.
The 20-year-old victim was walking near Union Square West and East 17th Street about 9:40 p.m. when he was approached by three men who forcefully removed headphones off his head, police said.
The victim followed behind the men until one of them displayed a gun and fired it in the direction of the victim, police said. The group then fled on foot and entered Union Square Subway Station.

The victim didn’t report any physical injuries as a result of the incident, police said.
