NYPD Investigate Flatiron Co-op Grafitti As Possible Hate Crime: PD

CHELSEA, NY - The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating a report of a man who drew a Star of David and wrote the word Jew with a question mark on the door or a Flatiron District co-op building last month, authorities said.

The unidentified man was captured on surveillance footage on Nov. 9 about 8 p.m. drawing on the door of 131 5th Ave., a prewar co-op building, according to The Corcoran Group.

The man then fled the location on foot, police said. He is described as having a medium build about 50 to 60 years old.

There were no injuries reported. This incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force.
