Where To Eat This Weekend In NYC

CHELSEA, NY — Looking for the best new place to grab dinner on Saturday night? Patch has you covered. Here's our weekly round-up of new restaurants and bars in New York City.

This week, check out a champagne parlor in Greenwich Village where you can ring in the New Year, a tiny Lower East Side cafe that serves sweet delicacies, and more.

Air's Champagne Parlor

Location: 127 Macdougal St., Greenwich Village

What to drink: Champagne. Air's isn't brand new (it opened in the Village earlier this year) but we thought we'd included in our final round-up of 2017 because it will have plenty of bubbly on hand for those of you looking for a classier New Year's Eve. The bar serves more than 125 types of champagne, plus fancy snacks like a caviar sandwich. The Little One

Location: 150 East Broadway, Lower East Side

What to eat: Dessert. This tiny new cafe opened this month with a menu that currently features Japanese desserts. According to Eater, you can find lots of tea-flavored desserts at The Little One, in addition to treats like dorayaki, a small, sweet-filled sandwich.

Jade Sixty

Location: 116 E. 60th St., Upper East Side

What to eat: Steak. The Upper East Side is getting a new steakhouse this week. Jade Sixty will be a classic New York-style steak house, but will also include a sizable portion of its menu to sushi, soup dumplings, and crispy spring rolls. The New York Times took an early look at the new restaurant here.

Guy Fieri's Guy's American Bar & Kitchen

Location: 220 W. 44th St., Times Square

What to eat: Anything; it's your last chance. The much-mocked Times Square staple that was Guy Fieri's restaurant is closing this weekend, and 2017 will be your last chance to eat at Flavortown, Eater reported this week. After five years in Times Square, the restaurant will serve its final orders of "Guy-talian Nachos" on Dec. 31. You can read more about the restaurant here.
