Charity Poker Game Raises Money for Children's Services
Child Care Council of Suffolk, based in Commack, holds "Ante Up for children" tournament.

Commack's Child Care Council of Suffolk (CCCS) recently hosted its inaugural “Ante Up for Children” Poker Tournament, which raises money for several children's programs in the area.
“Approximately 50 players and 25 spectators attended the event, which helped raise funds for the Child Care Council of Suffolk important programs and services.
Kristina Hoffman, of Smithtown, took home the top prize defeating well known poker stars Will “The Thrill” Failla and Tony “Bagels” Cavezza.

“The Poker Tournament offered the Child Care Council of Suffolk an excellent opportunity to reach out to new supporters and to advocate on behalf of our vital programs and services that support children, families, providers, employers and the public to ensure that quality child care takes its place as an integral part of society,” said Janet Walerstein, executive director, CCCS.
