Commack School Buildings Closed Friday, Activities Canceled
Impending blizzard leads district to cancel its activities and close its offices ahead of storm.
The Commack School District announced it will be closed Friday, ahead of the impending blizzard set to hit Long Island at approximately 6 p.m.
Students were already scheduled to be off Thursday and Friday for Winter Break, however, the district announced that all afternoon activities scheduled for Thursday afternoon are canceled.
In addition, all school buildings and offices will be closed Friday, and activities canceled, due to anticipated weather-related hazards.
