Cut-for-a-Cure Returns Oct. 6

Cutting Edge Hair Design in Commack will hold its third annual Cut-for-a-Cure Oct. 6 to benefit the American Cancer Society.

From 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., the salon, located at 6065 Jericho Tpke., will have food, music, raffles and gift baskets, which have all been donated from local businesses.

Owner Marie Perico said the salon will offer $20 haircuts for the event, in which 100 percent of all proceeds will go toward Making Strides and The American Cancer Society.
