Firefighters Douse Blazing SUV on Parkway in Dix Hills
Incident occurred on the Northern State just before midnight on Monday, officials said.
Firefighters battled a blaze that destroyed a sport utility vehicle on the Northern State Parkway shortly before midnight on Monday, authorities said.
Dix Hills Fire Department volunteers arrived to find a fully engulfed Lincoln Navigator on the parkway’s eastbound lanes, just west of the Deer Park Avenue exit, according to officials
Two engines, an ambulance and paramedic unit responded under the command of First Assistant Chief Tom Napolitano and Third Assistant Chief Joe Williamson, authorities said.

The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries reported, according to officials.
