The man, a Burlington employee, reached his phone under the changing room door and took photos of the girl, police say.

COMMACK, NY — A man was arrested after Suffolk police said he took pictures of a 10-year-old girl as she changed her clothes in the dressing room of a Commack store on Sunday.

William Veitch-Canete, 27, of Commack, was working as an employee at Burlington, at 108 Veterans Memorial Highway, when he reached his cell phone under a changing room door and took pictures of a girl as she changed her clothes at 9:15 p.m., police said.

The girl saw the cell phone and told her parents, who were also in the store, police said. The parents confronted Veitch-Canete and then called the police, the department said. Fourth Precinct Patrol officers arrived to Burlington and placed Veitch-Canete in custody, police said.
