The Picklr Doubles Down on Long Island Announcing Commack Location
With Commack & Centereach locations secured, The Picklr is quickly positioning itself as the region's premier indoor pickleball club

The Picklr, North America’s fastest-growing indoor pickleball franchise, announced today a lease signing for it second Long Island location. The 47,800 sq ft facility - The Picklr Commack – will feature 15 courts with professional-grade outdoor surfacing from Just Courts, the official court layer for The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) and The Picklr.
The Picklr Commack, scheduled to open in 2026, will be located at 3124 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport, NY 11731, in the former Best Buy building next to the Stop & Shop. It will include a full pro-shop, locker room, private event space and much more. Conveniently situated just 4-miles from the Long Island Expressway (exit 51) and 2-miles from the Northern State Parkway (exit 42), it will join The Picklr Centereach as the second of a multi-unit Long Island strategy.
Since The Picklr memberships are valid at all locations nationwide, members of The Picklr Centereach (231 Centereach Mall) and The Picklr Commack essentially get two club memberships for the price of one as the clubs will be just 14-miles apart. Additionally, The Picklr Centereach members will be “grandfathered” into the grand opening pricing. So members can join The Picklr Centereach now and then be assured of the same pricing, if they choose to, make Commack their primary home. The Picklr Centereach is a 33,900 square-foot club with 11 courts opening in November.

The pricing model for the Commack location will be announced a few months before the grand opening. But for reference, The Picklr Centereach offers monthly membership of $149 (which includes a $40/month discount for life off the monthly rate) for Founder Members. Additionally, members who join for a full year receive two months free making the annual rate $1490. Rates and discounts for Commack are expected to be competitive, but by joining The Picklr Centereach now, members can lock in these Founder Member rates no matter which club they choose to join.

The Picklr Commack will be managed and operated by Arete Sports Group, which also operates Picklr franchises in Manahawkin-LBI, NJ, East Brunswick, NY and Centereach, NY as part of its growing portfolio of multi-location investments in the sport. In addition to Neale’s day to day leadership as a sports and business executive with extensive operator experience, the ownership group also includes Commack native Glenn Schneider, CEO of SUSA FC—Long Island’s largest youth soccer academy—who brings a wealth of experience in high level youth soccer development, decades of experience in building companies, and deep roots in the Long Island community. Rounding out the leadership team is Scott Schubiger the former Chief Growth Officer at The Picklr who played a key role in expanding the brand from a handful of clubs to over 500 sold nationwide. He brings strategic leadership, franchise operation experience, and corporate expertise to the venture. The Picklr owner-operator group negotiated lease with the support of Mani Nagpal of Global Realty Services USA and the Sterling Organization.
