Local Primary Elections Today
Voters have the chance on Tuesday to cast their vote in the primary election on who they believe is best team to make decisions for the Town of Huntington and Suffolk County. Click here to find your polling station.
President to Speak on Syria
President Barack Obama will address the nation today, hitting the airwaves to make an Oval Office address on limited strikes against Syria's regime. U.S. Congressman Steve Israel, D-Huntington, said Sunday that he supports a limited intervention in Syria as retribution for the use of chemical weapons.
Thrift Shop Reopen
The Commack Methodist Church Thrift Shop is now reopen. Come in to check the book shelves, toys, fall and winter clothes and more. The shop is open Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Call 631-499-7310 for more information.
Commack HS Football Opener Approaching
The Commack High School varsity football team will have its opening home game this Thursday against Brentwood at 4 p.m.
9/11 Ceremony Wednesday
The Commack Community will come together Wednesday for the 12th year of remembrance of 9/11. A candlelight ceremony will be held at the Heroes Memorial Track at the Commack High School football field at 6:30 p.m.
