Commack Scouts BSA Troop 125 Community Service - Church Cleanup

Scouts BSA Troop 125 of Commack recently demonstrated their commitment to service and community spirit by volunteering for their annual fall

Armed with rakes, gloves, and plenty of energy, the Scouts and family members worked together to clear leaves, tidy up the grounds, and prepare the property for the colder months ahead. Their teamwork and dedication not only helped beautify the church grounds but also reflected the values of responsibility and citizenship that Scouting instills in young people.

This project was more than just yard work—it was an opportunity for Troop 125 to give back to a place that has long been a part of the Commack community and a place they have called home for 56 years. By lending their time and effort, the Scouts strengthened their connection to the church and set an example of service for others. The cleanup highlighted how small acts of care can make a big difference, leaving the grounds refreshed and showing the positive impact of youth working together for the common good.

Scouting offers a unique opportunity for youth participants to learn life skills, understand the importance of community, and form lifelong bonds with fellow scouts. Any child (boys or girl) as young as 11 years old can join a Scouts BSA troop, regardless of prior experience.
