Where To See Santa In Commack This Christmas Season

COMMACK, NY — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Commack families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

In the Commack area, kids have several chances:

• What: The Town of Smithtown's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
  • When: 5 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29
  • Where: Smithtown Town Hall
  • Info: Santa Claus will visit with help from the Smithtown Fire Department.
• What: Holiday Tree Lighting at The Smithtown Library
  • When: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1
  • 1 N. Country Road, Smithtown
  • Info: Meet on the front lawn as people listen to songs and light the holiday tree. Afterwards, join inside for refreshments and photos with Santa. This event will also serve as a collection for the Smithtown Food Pantry.
• What: Santa will be arriving on Wall Street in Huntington.
  • When: 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3
  • Where: Wall Street, Huntington
• What: Smithtown Fire Department Parade
  • When: 4 p.m. Dec. 16
  • Where: Kick off from Smithtown Fire Department headquarters, at 100 Elm Ave., Smithtown. Parade route TBD.
  • Info: Santa Claus will be making an appearance!

Santa will be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Orlando.
