5 Library Events Happening This Week
A look at events coming up at Deer Park and North Babylon libraries.
1. Knitting Club: Novice and advanced knitters are welcome to join this knitting club, led by Roberta. The group meets Monday at 10 a.m. at the North Babylon Library.
2. Kayaking 101: Learn the basics of kayaking at the Deer Park Library on Monday at 7 p.m.
3. Balloon Fun: Nick The Balloonatic is stopping by North Babylon Library on Tuesday for an hour of comedy and balloon sculpting. The fun begins at 4 p.m. Open to kids in preschool through fifth grade who reside in the North Babylon district.
4. Gamin' Ride: Kids in grades one through six can play in the 50-foot interactive mobile theater with XBox, PS3 and Wii on Friday at Deer Park Library. Sign up as a team of four or join a new team. Parents choose the 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. session.
5. Lego Fun: Create something new with Legos at the North Babylon Library on Friday between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Projects will be displayed in the lobby. Open to grades one through five.
