6 Injured, 3 Seriously, In 6-Vehicle Suffolk Crash Saturday: Police
The multi-vehicle crash took place in Deer Park Saturday afternoon, officials say.
DEER PARK, NY — Six people were injured, three seriously, in a six-vehicle crash in Deer Park Saturday afternoon, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, a 2016 Mercedes Benz, driven by Miandad Khan, 36, of Queens, was involved in a minor crash with a 2020 Acura on northbound Deer Park Avenue at Jaqueline Way in Deer Park at 3:17 p.m.
Khan then drove northbound in the southbound lanes of Deer Park Avenue and, about one minute later, his vehicle struck a 2021 Honda Passport and then struck a 2022 Toyota RAV4; Khan's vehicle then struck a 2013 Lexus LS and 2022 Ford F-150, police said.

Khan was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries, police said. The driver of the Toyota, 71, and his passenger, 69, were also transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
The driver and passenger of the Honda Passport and driver of the Lexus suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the Ford was not injured, police said.
In addition, a 2020 Honda Civic was struck by a tire that came off the Honda Passport; none of the vehicle's occupants were injured, police said. A 2015 Subaru Crosstrek, which was occupied by only the driver, who was not injured, was also damaged by debris, police said.
No charges were filed in the crash; the investigation is continuing, police said.
