Dec. 27: State Emergency Operations Activated for Storm

1. Gov. Andrew Cuomo activated the State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Wednesday to monitor the storm and emergency needs. Until Thursday afternoon, a winter storm will bring moderate to heavy snow and some ice to parts of the state.

3. Help a local family through the Hurricane Sandy Relief Children's Toy and Clothing Drive at Tanger Outlets at The Arches. Donations can be dropped off at Shopper Services.

4.There is a free teen movie: 'Men in Black III' at the North Babylon Library today at 2 p.m.

5. There will be a blood drive Friday at REVelation Cycle in Deer Park.
