Students At Deer Park School Sponsor Shelter Dog During Holiday Season
Four classes at John F. Kennedy Intermediate School partnered to support a dog from the Babylon Animal Shelter.
DEER PARK, NY — Students at Deer Park’s John F. Kennedy Intermediate School recently teamed up to sponsor a shelter dog and collect supplies for the Babylon Animal Shelter, school officials said.
Four classes participated in the initiative, sponsoring a dog named Hunter while gathering much-needed items to support the shelter’s operations. The project gave students the opportunity to learn about animal care while taking part in a community service effort during the holiday season.
School officials said the effort emphasized responsibility, compassion, and the importance of giving back, while allowing students to make a direct impact in their local community.
