Deer Park School District Named A 'Best Community for Music Education'

DEER PARK, NY — The Deer Park School District is continuing to hit high notes.

The National Association of Music Merchants Foundation (NAMM) has once again bestowed a "Best Community for Music Education" designation on the Deer Park School District’s vigorous music program.

The district has received this recognition for the past 10 years.

Now in its 24th year, the Best Communities designation recognizes outstanding efforts in making
music education part of a well-rounded education.

“We are proud that NAMM has again distinguished us as one of the Best Communities for Music Education as a direct result of the work and efforts of our students and teachers in the area of music education,” said Bradley Murphy, the district’s administrator for fine and performing arts.

Only 830 districts across the UnitedStates were given this award for 2023.
