Fire Ravages Car Dealership On LI: Police
Firefighters battled a blaze that ravaged a car dealership on Long Island over the weekend, according to Suffolk County police.
WEST BABYLON, NY — Firefighters battled a raging blaze that destroyed several vehicles at a Long Island car dealership early Saturday morning, according to Suffolk County police.
A fire broke out at Frontline Auto Sales on Herzel Boulevard in West Babylon shortly after midnight on Saturday.
Police said the blaze ravaged several vehicles and spread to a building. The cause is under investigation, police said.

On Sunday, Frontline thanked first responders on social media, writing:
"We would like to sincerely thank all of the amazing brave first responders, friends and community for the help & assistance with Friday's late-night fire, the dedication and bravery are incredible. Nobody got hurt in any way so that is a win no matter what.

"The building is inoperable in its current state. We will be temporarily working out of Cosmo's Service Center next door until our office trailer arrives, we will be operating out of on-site while we rebuild and will remain open for business throughout this entire process.
"Thank you for everybody’s support. We very much appreciate it."
Mutual aid was provided by West Babylon, East Farmingdale, West Babylon and North Lindenhurst fire departments, according to photographer Anthony Frevola who was on the scene.
