According to officials, Danielle was returning to his own home that night when he "noticed smoke and a peculiar odor," which promoted him to investigate. Danielle heard people calling for help while neighbors confirmed people were trapped inside the home and entered the home with two Suffolk County police officers, officials said.
Danielle successfully removed the person from the home and brought them to the front lawn where EMS provided medical attention.
