Geiger Park Work Progressing 'Nicely'
Town officials still planning to re-open park and new Spray Park this summer.
The construction project at Geiger Park continues and town officials told Patch that work is “moving along nicely.”
Sitting on the border of Deer Park and Wyandanch, the park is receiving a major facelift at a total cost of $11 million. In April, $7 million in construction work with the goal of having Geiger Park and its new Spray Park operational by July 4th.
Tim Ruggeri, a town spokesperson, said Town officials are still planning to open the spray park this summer, but did not mention a specific date.

“Construction is moving along nicely,” he said. “The pump room for the Spray Park has been completed and the concrete is being poured. We expect delivery and installation of the actual fixtures in the coming weeks.”
When completed, the Spray Park will encompass 14,400 square feet and feature more than a dozen water elements designed for all age groups.
