Girl Scouts Blend Fashion And Fundraising On LI
Girl Scout troops on Long Island held a fashion show fundraiser to raise money for a scouting campsite at a local beach.
BABYLON, NY — The Town of Babylon's Girl Scouts know how to blend fashion and fundraising for a good cause.
Receiver of Taxes Jennifer Montiglio recently hosted Girl Scout Troop 605's Glam, Give, Glamp Fashion Show at Babylon Town Hall to fund the Cedar Beach Marina scouting campsite.
Ten local groups—96 girls—from Babylon, West Babylon, North Babylon and Amityville took part in the fashion show and raised $1,039 for the campground.

"It was a great night!," Montiglio said.
According to the town's Director of Communications, Ryan Bonner, the money raised will purchase two bell tents, air mattresses, a fire pit and a mini refrigerator.
