Green Inks 3-Year Deal With Spurs
Former North Babylon hoops star signs first long-term contract of his NBA career.

Former North Babylon basketball star Danny Green will be spending another three years with the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs.
According to mysanantonio.com, Green has signed a three-year, $12 million contract with the Spurs, the first long-term contract of his career. The former North Carolina Tar Heel was selected by San Antonio in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft.
“I’m working on all the things I need to do, trying to get stronger in every aspect of the game and do the things they need me to do next year and be more consistent,” Green told mysanantonio.com

During the 2011-12 regular season, Green appeared in all 66 games — starting 38 — and averaged 9.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. In the playoffs, he played in all of San Antonio’s 14 games, averaging 7.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. The Spurs appeared in the Western Conference Finals, losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
