High Speed Chase Ends In Rollover Crash On LI: Troopers
A high-speed crash involving New York State Police and a Chevrolet Equinox on Long Island ended in a rollover crash, troopers say.
WEST BABYLON, NY — A high-speed chase on Lon Island involving New York State Police and two vehicles ended in a rollover crash early Saturday morning.
State police said that around 12:55 a.m., troopers attempted to pull over a white Chevrolet Equinox for traveling around 100 miles per hour on the Meadowbrook State Parkway southbound in the area of M6.
The vehicle's operator failed to pull over and troopers initiated a pursuit, police said.

According to police, the pursuit ended when the Equinox collided with an uninvolved vehicle and rolled over.
The Equinox's driver, Raphael Chuan, 42, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. His passenger was not ejected because they were wearing their seatbelt and sustained minor injuries, police said. Meanwhile, the driver of the uninvolved vehicle sustained minor injuries, police said.

Charges are still pending and the crash is an ongoing investigation, police said.
