“We are very excited to welcome Dr. Graham to our school community,” Board of Education President Matthew Lucchetti said. “He has established himself as a strong leader, a child first educator and a visible presence in the communities he has served. His previous experience, coupled with his vision for our schools, will lead our district on a path of even greater opportunities for our students and staff. On behalf of the entire board, I welcome Dr. Graham and congratulate him on his appointment.”
Dr. Graham earned his Bachelor of Arts in earth and space sciences, his master’s degree in liberal studies, and a certificate in School District Administration from Stony Brook University. He is a graduate of the doctoral program in educational leadership, administration and policy at Fordham University, where he studied tracking and acceleration practices in suburban secondary schools.
The district said that they selected Graham after an "extensive search" and community feedback.
He replaces previous superintendent Glen Eschbach. Dr. Laurence Aronstein was appointed interim superintendent in August 2022.
“I look forward to meeting with the members of the school community and developing common goals that the entire North Babylon School District community can work toward," said Graham. "These goals will be the roadmap to delivering results for our students’ academic and social and emotional advancement. I look forward to becoming a part of the community and getting to know the staff, students and parents.”
