Kevin Tresselt: Deer Park HS Valedictorian

Princeton-bound senior to study civil engineering.

Deer Park High School senior Kevin Tresselt is the valedictorian for the Class of 2012. With an un-weighted grade point average of 98.22, he will attend Princeton this fall where he will study civil engineering.

A member of the high school’s student council for the past four years, Kevin served as president in his junior year. He was also a key part of planning for various events during the current school year including food drives, fundraisers and homecoming.

In addition, Kevin is a member of the National Honor Society and tutored fellow high school students for two hours per week in math and science.

Among his many extra curricular activities, Kevin was a member of the high school’s jazz band and was lead piano player in his junior and senior years. In chamber orchestra, he was first violin and obtained a “superior” rating at the Music in the Parks competition at Hershey, PA.

On the sports side, Kevin was a member of the swimming team participating in the 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 4x100m freestyle relay and 4x50m freestyle relay. He was also a member of the tennis team.
