Last Chance: BACCA's Art and Drawing Classes

Sign-up now for classes starting April 5 and April 9.

Local artists still have a few days left to sign up for one of BACCA's spring art courses. 

The Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts will be offering two Friday arts courses starting on April 5. Instructor Andy Perello will teach Drawing, where students will learn how to draw four basic forms in 3 dimensions, as learning how to proportion objects in nature and drawing them accurately is preliminary for a good painting. Students will use both pencil and ballpoint pen. 

The course will run on Fridays from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Cost is $80 for members or  $100 for non-members.

BACCA will also be offering a new Children's Art Class for kids ages 8- 10. Students will work with different medium including paint and Cray-Pas to paint and draw. Instructor Dale Constantino will teach basic art concepts such as line variation, shapes, depth and color through various projects. 

Class will be held on Tuesdays, starting April 9, from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. The cost is $90, which includes all supplies.

The children's class will meet at the BACCA Art Center, 149 N. Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst.
