BABYLON, NY — A broken-hearted community is coming together to help families navigate the devastating aftermath of the West Babylon crash that killed two people, including an 18-year-old, and left four other teens hospitalized with serious injuries on Saturday.

At around 1 a.m. on Saturday, the driver of a Kia sedan ran through a red light heading eastbound on Railroad Avenue and hit a 2025 Kia Seltos traveling southbound on Great East Neck Road that contained five local teenagers, Suffolk County police said.

One of the teens hospitalized with severe injuries is Anthony Pagliuca, 16, of West Babylon, who was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, police said.

"Any help we can give back to this family would be minor compared to what they will endure.

"Showing we support Anthony and his parents, who serve communities as a firefighter and teacher, would help lift at least a small amount of financial burden off the family."

The other survivors are Seltos driver Bella Trezza 17, her brother, Austin Trezza, 18, and Jack Murphy, 18, all of Babylon, who were all hospitalized at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, police said.

Riley Goot, 18, of Babylon, who was in the Seltos with his friends, was tragically pronounced dead shortly after at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, police said.

Visitors will be received on Wednesday, September 25, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home in Babylon. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 26, at 10:30 a.m. at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Babylon.
