LI Woman Who Fatally Stabbed Ex's Mother Gets 30 Years In Prison: DA
The man came home to find his mother killed and covered in blood, the DA says.

DEER PARK, NY — A Deer Park woman was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Thursday after she pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing an 85-year-old woman and attempting to kill the woman's son, her ex-boyfriend, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced.
Shaquela Titley, 31, was also sentenced to five years of post-release supervision, for charges of first-degree manslaughter, prosecutors said,
“During a fit of anger, this defendant chose to go on a rampage where she viciously killed an 85-
year-old woman, Marie Mille, and then attempted to kill her ex-boyfriend, in the most merciless
and violent way,” said District Attorney Tierney. “We hope this sentence brings a small measure
of closure to the victims’ friends and loved ones.”

On the morning of Dec. 23, 2021, Titley fatally stabbed Marie Mille in her Deer Park home, according to court documents and the defendant’s admissions during her guilty plea allocution.
Titley, who had been renting an apartment inside Marie Mille’s home for about nine months, was apparently upset because Joseph Millie, Titley’s ex-boyfriend and Mille’s son, was not going to renew Titley’s apartment lease, prosecutors said.

Joseph Millie, who was not present at the home when the stabbing took place, returned later that day to find his mother deceased and covered in blood, prosecutors said.
Titley then attacked him and stabbed him multiple times. He ultimately fought his way out of the house and sought refuge in a neighbor’s home.
"He ran to me covered in blood," Michael Bodt, Joseph Millie's neighbor and childhood friend, previously told Patch. "He was banging on my door and I knew right away.”
Titley was arrested later that day, police said.
"During a fit of anger, this defendant chose to go on a rampage where she viciously killed an 85- year-old woman, Marie Mille, and then attempted to kill her ex-boyfriend, in the most merciless and violent way," said Tierney. "We hope this sentence brings a small measure of closure to the victims’ friends and loved ones."
On Aug. 29, Titley pleaded guilty before Supreme Court Justice, the Honorable Timothy P. Mazzei, to first-degree manslaughter and second-degree attempted murder, prosecutors said.
