LONG ISLAND, NY — There's nothing like a Long Island summer. Aside from beaches, water, and a plethora of festivals, a classic summer day isn't complete without a scoop (or two) of ice cream.
Handmade creameries have no shortage on Long Island. In fact, there are so many that it can sometimes be difficult to pick just one.
Everyone has a favorite ice cream spot. It may be just around the block, or it may be a few towns over. Sometimes a good scoop is worth the drive.
