Cosmetics Retail Giant Is Coming To Deer Park Tanger

DEER PARK, NY — Cosmetics retailer Sephora is coming to the Deer Park Tanger Outlets later this year, the shopping center announced Monday.

Deer Park's Tanger is one of five new locations the beauty product giant is expanding its presence to, with a new location measuring around 5,000 square feet. The beauty product retailer is also opening new stores in Tangers in Charleston, South Carolina; National Harbor, Maryland; Palm Beach, Florida; and Phoenix/Glendale, Arizona.

Prior to the expansion, Sephora has had only one existing location at Tanger's Bridge Street Town Center in Huntsville, Alabama, which was already in operation when Tanger acquired the center in late 2023.

"We continue to evolve our centers into true destinations by elevating and diversifying the overall brand and category mix across our portfolio, bringing in new, high-demand categories and brands to attract the next generation of shoppers," said Stephen Yalof, President and Chief Executive Officer. "The expanded partnership with Sephora is an exciting step in Tanger's growth."

According to Tanger's newsroom, the outlet is expanding its beauty offerings as part of its strategy to diversify with categories beyond apparel and footwear, including home furnishings, food and beverage and entertainment.

Tanger has leased nearly 200,000 square feet of new-to-portfolio brands since January 2023, as it aims to attract "younger and more affluent shoppers" to its locations, according to press release.
