Man Killed, 3 Injured In Suffolk Crash: Police
The brother of a driver was pronounced dead, police say.
WYANDANCH, NY — A man is dead, and three people are injured after a crash in Wyandanch early Sunday, Suffolk County Police said.
A 44-year-old man, of Wyandanch, was driving a 2016 Honda CRV westbound on Long Island Avenue at about 12:30 a.m., when his vehicle collided with an eastbound 2021 Toyota Camry.
The man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

His brother, Jose SanchezBenitez, 62, of Wyandanch, the passenger in the vehicle, was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the Toyota was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. Her passenger was taken to South Shore University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are
asking anyone with information on the crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
