WYANDANCH, NY — A person was fatally struck by a Long Island Rail Road (LIRR Train) in Wyandanch on Tuesday, MTA police said.

At about 3:33 p.m., the 2:31 p.m. train from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma fatally struck the unauthorized person on the tracks west of Wyandanch Station, officials said.

Emergency personnel responded, and the investigation is ongoing.
