Long Island Man Arrested As Fugitive From Georgia: Sheriff's Office

The man was wanted in a federal investigation, officials say.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A West Babylon man was arrested and on Wednesday, after he escaped and was wanted on felony charges in the state of Georgia, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office said.

John Ford, 64, of West Babylon was wanted as a fugitive and was the subject of a federal investigation. He was wanted on felony charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats, officials said.

He was arrested at his home in West Babylon on an outstanding warrant out of the Bartow County Sheriff's Office in Georgia, officials said.
