2-Alarm Fire on Webster Avenue near Coney Island Avenue
No injuries after a fire broke out in a seven-story building Monday afternoon.

There were no injuries from a two-alarm fire that broke out Monday afternoon at a large apartment building on Webster Avenue near Coney Island Avenue, an FDNY spokesman said.
More than 100 firefighters battled the blaze, which started just before 3:10 p.m. at 345 Webster Ave. bet. Coney Island Avenue and E. 8th Street.

The fire spread from the fourth to the fifth floors of the seven-story building, and was upgraded from "all-hands" to "two-alarm," doubling the number of firefighters sent to fight the flames.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the FDNY.
